I received a call from my dad who said he and my mum would like to help us to buy a flat.
I was pretty floored at that, it's not something small!
My husband and I are both working, although I'm on a year-long contract of 22.5 hours/week and he doesn't have any contracted hours. We're not sure what getting a mortgage would be like, but it does help that we will have a deposit. I can't put into words how lucky I am to have such an amazing family.
Back to savings - I haven't topped my free tomatoes yet, but I have enough MySurvey points to get a £25 Amazon voucher. The trouble is knowing whether to get it now and buy something I want, or wait and buy something I need.
I do buy a lot of reduced items, but Morrison's rarely have the major reductions that are seen in ASDA and Tesco. I called my sister telling her of my 20p loaves of bread and she said I need to get to Tesco for the 2p ones!
I did make a big order on Approved Foods. I paid £61 (delivered) for £235 worth of food. Mr. Soup will be happy as my order contained a lot of bags of sweets for 5p each!
I'm upset that Morrison's no longer have the Ristorante pizzas for £1.29. With my £1 off voucher they were only 29p each. I had so many that I must look like a pizza now.
Being both mine and my husband's birthdays in the last 2 weeks, our finances have taken a little dip, but not too much. We didn't spend a great deal on each other - I made him a cake!
In other news, I have a nasty cough :(

I've entered my late 20s. Time to sort out my finances.
I'm Pea and I've recently turned 27. Having lived in my overdraft for my entire time at Uni, it's now time for me to be completely sorted and stable. I hope to be debt free (other than a mortgage) by my 30th birthday.
The state things are in now:
Current Account: -£1,475.46
Credit Card: -£154.44
Student Loan: No idea.
Direct Debit Account: £244.54
ISA: £3.79
Quidco Balance: £10
Swagbucks Points: 2,364
MySurvey Points: 1021
Monthly outgoings are around £800. That doesn't include food or any expenses that aren't paid by direct debit.
Monthly income for myself is around £900. My husband doesn't work regular hours so I don't have a standard income for him yet.
The credit card is rather high interest, but I use it to make purchases that I would have already made, and pay it off in full each month. I checked my credit score and it is very good. I wasn't on the electoral roll but I'm fixing that.
I have decided to start doing MySurvey again, and entering competitions. Time will tell if I will ever win anything! I'm also trying to use coupons more. I had a very successful day yesterday, getting 30 tins of tomatoes from Tesco for the grand total of £0.00!
Hopefully I can start to network and make friends with others who do the same.
Thanks for reading!
